Admission Process

We do not require a physicians referral.

Prior To Arrival

Prior to arrival at our addiction treatment centre, you or your loved one would have already been in touch with one of our specialists or intake coordinators to discuss any arrangements. If not, please call us 24/7 at 1-855-905-4437. They will assist with ensuring that all the essential paperwork has been completed, details collected, arranging travel if necessary and ensuring that all of your questions have been answered.

Upon Arrival

When a participant arrives at Her Recovery, she is placed under the care of a medical professional to assess her as medically stable for the program and to monitor and manage the woman as she progresses through withdrawal. This is the first step in the drug rehabilitation program and does not require a referral from a physician.

Participants will have their bags inspected for safety purposes upon arrival.

Addiction Treatment

In addition to our mental, spiritual, emotional and physical approach and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, we offer our alumni lifetime aftercare to support the individuals and their families in making a positive and permanent change in their lives.

Participants in Alberta will be able to receive a psychiatric assessment and treatment available from addictions expert Dr. Avi Aulakh, MD, FRCOC, DABAM.

Our addiction rehab program duration is 4, 8 or 12 weeks in length with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) being focused on more intensely after the fourth week. Participants will receive one-on-one counselling, group counselling, family skills support, and fellowship meetings (both in-house and in the community).

Following their successful completion, each participant will receive a Program Certificate, will have access to our Lifetime Aftercare Program and receive membership in the HerRecovery Alumni Group.
